Trust is built through responsible data stewardship. DPDP compliance enables your organisation to demonstrate transparency, safeguard personal information, and instil lasting confidence among customers, patients, employees, and every stakeholder you serve.
As India's data protection landscape matures, embedding privacy-first principles into operations is essential. A structured compliance framework addresses obligations proactively — reducing legal exposure, financial liability, and reputational risk.
Sound privacy governance strengthens business processes, sharpens data management, and drives operational efficiency. Organisations that invest in compliance today are better positioned for sustainable growth, digital transformation, and the trust economy of tomorrow.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 is India's landmark data protection legislation, enacted to govern the collection, processing, storage, and use of personal data in the digital ecosystem. It establishes clear rights for individuals and enforceable obligations for organisations — ushering in a new era of accountable, transparent, and consent-driven data governance across all sectors.
Any organisation — private or public — that collects or processes the personal data of Indian residents, whether operating within India or offering goods and services to individuals in India from abroad.
Any digital data by which an individual can be identified — including names, contact details, financial records, health information, biometric data, and online identifiers such as device IDs and IP addresses.
Organisations must obtain free, informed, and specific consent before processing personal data; maintain data only for its stated purpose; implement reasonable security safeguards; and enable individuals to exercise their data rights.
Data principals are entitled to access their data, correct inaccuracies, withdraw consent, seek erasure, and nominate a representative. They may also raise grievances directly with the Data Protection Board of India.
Evaluate your organisation against 29 critical DPDP compliance requirements. Identify compliance gaps, assess risk exposure, and understand where your organisation stands before regulatory scrutiny arrives.
